Job summary

Civeo Crown Services Employees LP is seeking Cooks for lodges in the Fort McMurray area to assist the First Cook and/or Chef with meal preparation across meats, salads and entrees. You will maintain inventory and sanitation, and support daily kitchen operations within a 21 days on / 7 days off rotation, including days, nights and holidays.

The role requires 1–3+ years in food service, Alberta Food Safety certification, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years food service experience or equivalent.
• Food Safety certification valid in Alberta for duration of employment.
• Advanced Food Safety is an asset.
• Current, valid First Aid certification is an asset.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce a wide range of meats, salads, sandwiches and entrees.
• Maintain inventory and sanitation levels.
• Perform meal preparation, kitchen maintenance and cleaning.
• Follow safety policies and SOPs; contribute to teamwork.
• Support First Cook/ Chef and supervise in rotation.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and production of menu items
• Ensure daily production levels are met
• Ensure all daily, weekly and monthly cleaning lists are completed
• Ensure food quality, food safety and service standards are met and maintained daily
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures by following company Safe Work Practices and Standard Operating Procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned
  

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years food service experience, preferably in a remote environment.
• Food Safety certification valid in the province of Alberta for the duration of your employment is a requirement.
• Advanced Food Safety is considered an asset.
• Current, valid First Aid certification is an asset.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Must be able to move, lift, carry, pull, push, and place objects away weighing up to 50 lbs.
