Job summary

Canad Inns is seeking a committed and energetic Cook 3 to join our Manitoba-based team. You will serve the public in a fast-paced kitchen, maintaining food safety and quality while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

The role requires flexibility to work days, evenings and weekends, with opportunities for professional development and team engagement within Canad Inns’ hospitality culture.

Qualifications

• Able to work days, evenings and/or weekends.
• Criminal Background Check and Food Handler & WHMIS certificates required or able to obtain.
• Detail-oriented and accurate.
• Multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Organized, reliable and able to work with limited supervision.
• Lift and carry trays of up to 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Answer all guest inquiries regarding food choices.
• Anticipate and tend to guest needs.
• Assist with cost control measures to reduce waste in food, supplies, and labour.
• Assist the Cook as necessary.
• Ensure Hot Food is Hot & Cold Food is Cold.
• Cook omelets, sauté stations, cold buffet prep, salads, platters, prep and dish up food.
• Wrap, label and date all food.
• May perform Kitchen Steward duties in the absence of a steward.
