Job summary

Hotel Arts in Calgary is seeking a Cook 2 for our Banquets Kitchen to deliver quality and timely production for banquets and events.

You will work closely with the Banquet Sous Chef, maintain mise en place, ensure food safety and presentation, and contribute to a high-volume, guest-focused kitchen.

Applicants should have 2+ years in a similar role or be working toward Red Seal; flexibility in schedule and strong teamwork required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in a similar position OR working toward Red Seal.
• Journeyman status or Red Seal certification preferred.
• Culinary education is an asset.
• Flexible weekly schedule/availability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all menu items to standard and to customer requirements.
• Maintain mise en place in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper storage of all food products.
• Adhere to provincial health regulations and safe food handling.

This cook will primarily be working alongside the Banquet Sous Chefto provide excellent culinary service during our renownedbanquets and events.

The successful applicant will possess the following traits:

• Ability to maintain food quality and presentation standards within a consistency based framework
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team effectively

• Will ensure all menu items are prepared efficiently to standard and to customer requirements
• Will ensure all mis en place is completed in a timely and efficient manner
• Will ensure the cleanliness and proper storage of all food product
• Will ensure all appropriate provincial health regulations and food handling techniques
• Is mindful of maintain a clean and organized work area
• Is aware of food cost, portion, and waste controls

Job Requirements:

• 2+years experience in a similar position OR
