Job summary

Seaside Restaurant on Salt Spring Island, BC is looking for an experienced cook to join the on-site kitchen team. The role offers 21.18 CAD per hour for 35–40 hours per week in a permanent position, with mornings, evenings, days and weekends worked.

Responsibilities include menu planning, coordinating events, preparing and cooking meals, inspecting kitchens, training staff and managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness and safety in the work area.

Qualifications

  • Experience coordinating restaurant kitchen operations
  • Ability to plan menus and estimate food requirements
  • Experience in food preparation and cooking
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation in kitchen
  • Strong training and supervision skills
