Job summary

Job Bank in Canada is seeking an experienced cook to prepare and cook complete meals and dishes, including options for customers with food allergies. You will supervise kitchen operations and train staff in food preparation and handling. This is a permanent, full-time, on-site role with relocation costs covered by the employer.

Minimum 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in cooking/kitchen work is required. Relocation support is provided; candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Recruit and hire staff
  • Organize buffets and banquets
  • Manage kitchen operations
