Job description

Job Summary: In this position you have a strong technical background that plays a key role in supporting the controls team through design, programming and implementation activities required to complete assigned projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Design, configuration and programming of automation and controls systems using PLC, HMI, Robotic and SCADA systems.
2. Develop PLC code and HMI programs using Allen Bradley Studio5000, FactoryTalk View, Siemens TIA Portal, and applicable programming software.
3. Provide detailed documentation throughout each project.
4. Manage and control design projects that result in a high quality and reliable product.
5. Complete controls designs and electrical schematics; specifying hardware and components.
6. Provide expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems.
7. Inspect products and processes to identify areas of improvement.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Electrical, or Computer Engineering preferred
2. 3 to 5 years of work experience in a related field.
3. Programming all controls related devices, including but not restricted to: PLC & HMIs (Rockwell, Siemens)
4. Vision systems (Cognex, Keyence)
5. Proficient in computer-aided design and drafting software
6. Excellent communication skills
7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
8. Ability to determine customer needs to develop project specifications and scope
9. Ability to interpret and implement specifications
