Job summary

IESO Nova Scotia is seeking a Controller to oversee the integrity and timeliness of financial reporting. You will lead the day-to-day accounting, ensure IFRS compliance, manage the close cycles, and provide robust financial analysis to management.

The role requires CPA designation and 7+ years in accounting/finance, with hands-on leadership and a drive to strengthen FP&A, controls, and ERP-related initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related discipline.
• Current CPA designation is required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience in senior roles.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and practical application in business context.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close processes with accurate reporting.
• Maintain IFRS compliance and document accounting treatment for complex transactions.
• Strengthen internal controls and automate processes where possible.
• Provide monthly departmental reporting and FP&A support to management.
• Coordinate external audit and support budgeting/forecasting activities.
