Job summary

Armtec is seeking an experienced Controller to join our Finance team and lead accounting operations. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will manage a hands-on team, ensure timely financial reporting, and drive improvements across processes and controls.

You will oversee budgeting, year-end activities, external audits, and regulatory reporting, partnering with leadership to deliver accurate financial insights that support strategic decisions.

  • Progressive accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing.

  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a dedicated accounting team and coordinate day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring work is completed accurately and on time.
  • Oversee the preparation and consolidation of financial statements and information.
  • Drive the budgeting process and support financial planning activities.
  • Coordinate year-end and other activities with external auditors.
  • Evaluate accounting processes and internal controls, identifying opportunities to strengthen efficiency, accuracy and compliance.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements across the Accounting function.
  • Develop and monitor meaningful business and financial performance metrics.
  • Provide management with accurate, timely financial information to support informed decision making.
  • Oversee regulatory reporting, including applicable tax planning and compliance activities.
  • Balance competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced business environment.

Armtec is looking for an experienced Controller to join our Finance team and take a key leadership role in our accounting operations.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Controller is a hands‑on leader who combines strong technical accounting knowledge with sound business judgment. You'll have the opportunity to identify better ways of working, implement improvements, and help ensure our financial operations continue to support a growing and evolving organization.

What You'll Do

What You'll Bring

  • Previous supervisory or management experience.
  • Experience working within a multi‑entity organization.
  • Strong analytical, critical‑thinking and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence working with leaders and employees across different areas of the business.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
