Make a Difference. Build a Safer Workplace.

At Armtec, safety is more than a program—it's a core value. We're looking for an experienced Health & Safety Coordinator who is passionate about protecting people, building strong safety cultures, and partnering with operations to drive continuous improvement.

Reporting to the National Human Resources & Safety Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting our operations across Quebec and Western Canada. This is an opportunity to work closely with leaders and frontline employees, influence positive change, and make a meaningful impact on the health and safety of our workforce.

If you're a collaborative, hands-on safety professional who enjoys being in the field, coaching others, and solving real-world challenges, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

As a trusted safety partner, you will:

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve health, safety, and environmental programs that support operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
  • Spend the majority of your time in the field, coaching, mentoring, and supporting frontline teams.
  • Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments, and job hazard analyses, identifying opportunities to reduce risk before incidents occur.
  • Lead or support incident investigations, determine root causes, and develop practical corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Manage CNESST and WCB claims while providing guidance on modified work and return-to-work programs.
  • Act as the primary contact during inspections or investigations by regulatory agencies, including CNESST and Workers' Compensation Boards.
  • Co-chair Joint Health and Safety Committee meetings and support committee effectiveness.
  • Coordinate and facilitate monthly safety meetings, audits, and workplace inspections.
  • Promote employee engagement by encouraging ownership, accountability, and open communication regarding workplace safety.
What You'll Bring
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline.
  • CRSP designation (or active pursuit) is considered a strong asset.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable occupational health and safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience managing workplace incident investigations, workers' compensation claims, and return-to-work programs.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and associated workplace hazards.
  • Exceptional communication, coaching, and presentation skills in both French and English.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and coach employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • A passion for being visible in operations, with the ability and desire to spend approximately 80% of your time supporting employees in the field.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10% within Quebec and Western Canada.

We Offer
