Job summary

CDN is seeking a Control Panel Specialist in Calgary, Alberta. The role focuses on assembling and wiring electrical control panels, mounting components, and ensuring quality through testing and labeling.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Fabrication, you will plan and execute panel projects, maintaining clean workspaces and meeting production deadlines. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, experience in control panel building or industrial wiring, and the ability to read

  • Experience in control panel building, electrical assembly, or industrial wiring is preferred.
  • Ability to read and follow electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Familiarity with common control panel components and hardware.
  • Good attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and wire electrical control panels according to provided schematics and diagrams.
  • Mount and secure components such as breakers, contactors, relays, terminals, VFDs, and PLCs.
  • Perform neat and accurate point-to-point wiring and cable management.
  • Label wires, terminals, and components per drawing specifications.
  • Conduct basic continuity and functional testing prior to shipment.
  • Identify and report discrepancies between drawings and components.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

We are looking to hire a Control Panel Specialist based out of our Calgary NE Branch. Reporting to the Supervisor, Fabrication, the Control Panel Specialist is responsible for executing and planning panels, completing assigned projects on day-to-day jobs to ensure all the required components have been completed.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assemble and wire electrical control panels according to provided schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Mount and secure components such as breakers, contactors, relays, terminals, VFDs, and PLCs
  • Perform neat and accurate point-to-point wiring and cable management
  • Label wires, terminals, and components per drawing specifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Typically up to 2 years of related experience.
  • Experience in control panel building, electrical assembly, or industrial wiring
  • Ability to read and follow electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Familiarity with common control panel components and hardware
  • Good attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines
  • Panel wiring experience is an asset
