DMC Recruitment Group is partnering with a growing building materials business to recruit a Contractor Sales Representative for Goose Bay, Labrador. The role focuses on inside contractor sales and account management, with opportunities to develop new business and advance to higher responsibilities.

The successful candidate will build relationships with contractors, coordinate quotes and orders, and work with cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements while driving profitability.

Qualifications

• Experience in contractor sales, building materials, construction, or related industry.
• Strong relationship-building and customer service skills.
• Commercially minded with understanding of margin and profitability, not just sales volume.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think on your feet and solve problems when plans change.
• Strong organizational skills with multi-customer management.
• Team-oriented with willingness to support the wider business.
• Proactive attitude and desire to learn and develop.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop strong relationships with existing contractor customers.
• Respond to customer enquiries, product requirements, and quote requests.
• Provide knowledgeable building-material product and service solutions.
• Prepare quotations with focus on margin and profitability.
• Coordinate customer orders with purchasing, operations, yard, and delivery teams.
• Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and develop new business.
• Anticipate customer requirements and plan orders well in advance.
• Help coordinate logistical requirements for supplying customers throughout Labrador.
• Resolve customer issues quickly and effectively.
• Work with junior and senior sales team members.
• Build strong relationships within the local contractor and construction community.
• Take increasing ownership of customer accounts and logistics as experience develops.
• Contribute to growth and success of the business.
