Gerrie Electric Wholesale LTD is a large independent electrical distributor with a long-standing presence in Ontario. We seek an Account Manager to lead key accounts, grow market share, and drive annual business plans using CRM data and collaborative strategies with partners, manufacturers, and Gerrie staff.

The role emphasizes strong presentation and relationship-building skills, a track record in electrical sales, and the ability to handle large projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education from a technical program (Electrical, Mechanical discipline)
• 5+ years' experience in Electrical Sales
• Experience handling large projects
• Proven track record in Sales (Electrical Wholesale industry preferred)
• Strong presentation, communication and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Manage all assigned accounts and be the key contact for all activities
• Identify and target sales opportunities within your assigned geographical area
• Develop and execute an annual sales/business plan for your assigned accounts
• Responsible for managing/closing proposals to the customer and actively seeking feedback
• Assume a key position within the bid team in developing strategy and providing quotations
• Follow up on opportunities/quotes/proposals to the customer and actively seek feedback
• Submit call reports and update CRM
• Participate in sales meetings and annual planning meetings

What you'll be doing

Develop, maintain a business plan, be the primary contact and manage assigned key accounts. The Account Manager will also be responsible for soliciting new customers and growing account base to help meet sales budget. You will also:

Manage all assigned accounts and be the key contact for all activities

Identify and target sales opportunities within your assigned geographical area. Work primarily with Partners, Manufacturers, Gerrie staff to grow sales and improve market share of our solutions

Develop and execute an annual sales/business plan for your assigned accounts. This will be done via CRM and Account Plans

Responsible for managing/closing proposals to the customer and actively seeking feedback that will lead to a successful outcome

Assume a key position within the bid team in developing strategy, Provide prompt, clear and concise quotations

Follow up on opportunities/quotes/proposals to the customer and actively seek feedback that will lead to a successful outcome

Submit call reports and update CRM

Participate in and attend sales meetings, annual planning meetings etc.

What you bring to the table

Post-secondary education from a technical program (i.e.) Electrical, Mechanical discipline

5+ years' experience in Electrical Sales

Must have experience handling large projects

Must have a proven track record Must have a proven track record of Sales (Electrical Wholesale industry preferred)

Strategically minded with strong presentation, communication and relationship-building skills

Strong technical knowledge and solid understanding of the Industrial/OEM marketsSelf-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
