Job summary

Gerrie Electric Wholesale LTD in Mississauga, Ontario is seeking a driven Sales/Customer Service professional to service customer requirements, answer questions and liaise between customers and Gerrie Electric. You will drive business through proactive calls and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.

Responsibilities include quoting, pricing, availability, order processing, and supporting Account Managers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in Sales (Electrical industry preferred)
• Strong communication and relationship building skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

Responsibilities

• Address customer needs with regards to sourcing, pricing and availability
• Grow and maintain relationships with customers, including repeat business
• Promote and increase business through proactive calling
• Receive, enter and generate customer orders accurately in the system
• Provide quotations, pricing and availability to customers as required
• Expedite and follow-up on orders and back orders
• Process customer credits for defective products in a timely manner
• Provide backup to Counter Sales staff as required

What you’ll be doing

This position is responsible for servicing customer requirements, questions and concerns in a prompt and efficient manner while acting as a liaison between customers and Gerrie Electric. The incumbent of this role will also actively promote and drive business through the calling of customers. You will also:

• Promptly address customer needs with regards to sourcing, pricing, and availability of material
• Growing and maintaining relationships with customers (we have a lot of repeat customers)
• Promote and increase business through proactive calls
• Receive, enter and generate customer orders in the system in an efficient manner
• Work in conjunction with and provide support to Account Managers Provide accurate quotations, pricing and availability to customers as required
• Expedite and follow-up on orders and back orders
• Process customer credits (defectives products, etc.) in a timely manner
• Provide back up to Counter Sales staff, as required

What you bring to the table

• Post-secondary education from an Electrical related discipline
• 3+ years’ experience in Sales (Electrical industry preferred)
• Must have a proven track record Must have the personality and drive to sell and succeed
• Strong communication and relationship building skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
