Job summary

Gerrie Electric is seeking a customer-focused sales professional in Ontario to service and grow a diverse client base. You will act as the liaison between customers and Gerrie Electric, quoting pricing and availability, and processing orders with accuracy.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in electrical sales, strong communication skills and a proven ability to close deals while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ sales experience, electrical industry preferred.
• Proven track record in selling and closing deals.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve customer requirements, questions and concerns promptly as a liaison between customers and Gerrie Electric.
• Promote and drive business through calling customers.
• Address sourcing, pricing and availability of material for customers.
• Grow and maintain relationships with repeat customers.
• Generate accurate quotations, pricing and availability for customers.
• Receive, enter and generate customer orders efficiently in the system.
• Expedite and follow up on orders and back orders; process credits timely.
• Provide backup to Counter Sales staff as required.

What you'll be doing

This position is responsible for servicing customer requirements, questions and concerns in a prompt and efficient manner while acting as a liaison between customers and Gerrie Electric. The incumbent of this role will also actively promote and drive business through the calling of customers. You will also:

Promptly address customer needs with regards to sourcing, pricing, and availability of material

Growing and maintaining relationships with customers (we have a lot of repeat customers)

Promote and increase business through proactive calls

Receive, enter and generate customer orders in the system in an efficient manner

Work in conjunction with and provide support to Account Managers Provide accurate quotations, pricing and availability to customers as required

Expedite and follow-up on orders and back orders

Process customer credits (defectives products, etc.) in a timely manner

Provide back up to Counter Sales staff, as required

What you bring to the table

Post-secondary education from an Electrical related discipline

3+ years’ experience in Sales (Electrical industry preferred)

Must have a proven track record Must have the personality and drive to sell and succeed

Strong communication and relationship building skills

Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
