Job summary

Candrone in Alberta is seeking experienced contract pilots to join our Contract Pilot Directory. You will work on project-based drone operations across sectors such as agriculture, infrastructure, and environmental inspections.

This role offers flexible scheduling and collaboration with project managers, data analysts, and engineers. Applicants must hold an Advanced RPAS Operators Certificate, Level 1 Thermography or be able to obtain it, and meet licensing and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Advanced RPAS Operators Certificate required.
• Certified Level 1 Thermography or ability to obtain before deployment.
• Ability to pass the GRID test for hotspot detection.
• Minimum 1 year drone piloting experience; valid driver's license.
• Resident of Alberta, preferably Edmonton or northern area.
• Basic computer/GIS knowledge – Microsoft Suite, QGIS, Google Earth.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb.
• Flexible schedule to meet ongoing contract needs.
• All candidates must pass reference and criminal background checks.

Responsibilities

• Pilot drones on a contract basis across projects in multiple sectors.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance for RPAS operations.
• Collaborate with project managers, data analysts, and engineers.
• Maintain records and deliver accurate flight data and reports.

Requirements for the opportunity:

• Advanced RPAS Operators Certificate
