A leading financial institution is seeking a Contract Specialist to join their Legal team on an initial 9-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to support the review, negotiation, and management of technology-related contracts, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will bring strong contract analysis skills and experience working in the financial or insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Review and analyze contracts to ensure appropriate legal protections, terms, and clauses are included
  • Interpret and draft medium-risk vendor contracts, particularly technology and corporate agreements
  • Manage and respond to incoming contract review requests through a shared inbox
  • Collaborate with legal, procurement, and business stakeholders to support contract execution and compliance
  • Organize and maintain legal team documentation and processes
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of contract management best practices

Must-Have Qualifications :

  • 8–10 years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant
  • Strong expertise in reading, drafting, and interpreting contract clauses
  • Experience with technology and corporate contract review within a financial institution or insurance company
  • Working knowledge of procurement, vendor management, and third-party risk principles
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Nice-to-Have Qualifications :

  • Experience in contract negotiation and procurement
  • Legal background or education
  • Familiarity with enterprise contract management tools

Education & Certifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
  • Paralegal Certification required
