Job summary

Ontario Public Service (OPS) seeks a detail‑driven Contract Services Administrator in the Central Region to oversee highway and bridge construction contracts from pre‑engineering to warranty.

You will review drawings, prepare procurement quotes, advise on provisions, monitor expenditures, and supervise on‑site administration while travelling across the Central region.

Three permanent positions are available; incumbents may work from Winona or Barrie and must hold a valid G driver's licence.

Qualifications

• Valid G driver’s licence is required.
• Knowledge of highway engineering standards and contract management.
• Experience in reviewing drawings, procurement processes and on-site administration.
• Ability to supervise staff and communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review and oversee contract drawings during pre-engineering.
• Prepare and evaluate requests for quotes and consultant procurement.
• Provide guidance on provisions, safety, environment and quality.
• Oversee contractor and consultant performance across multiple contracts.
• Lead administration of highway/bridge construction contracts.
