Job summary

EXP is seeking a Contract Administrator to join the Transportation team's contract administration group across Ottawa, Brampton, Markham, Hamilton or London Ontario offices. You will monitor contracts, read drawings for MTO/municipal projects, prepare reports, and coordinate submittals and change orders.

The role requires 4+ years in construction contract management, relevant certifications, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• At least 4+ years in construction contract administration on MTO/municipal projects.
• Experience as a Contract Administrator on at least two projects.
• OACETT or CET with RCCA designation; TLT-131 course completed after Oct 2019.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for site travel.
• Ability to work overtime on weekends and nights.
• Detail-oriented, able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor contracts to ensure quality and adherence to contractual obligations.
• Read drawings for MTO or municipal civil projects.
• Prepare internal reports and project status updates for assigned projects.
• Monitor project budget, expenses, payment terms and other financial obligations.
• Review contractor submittals for compliance and advise Client and Contractor accordingly.
• Negotiate change orders and construction claims.
• Coordinate review of shop drawings, RFIs & Information Requests.
• Review environmental and traffic control plans and identify discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with OPSS/OPSD, OHSA and related standards.
• Site inspections and daily reporting of contractor work.
• Provide updates to Project Manager.
