ICSG is hiring a Second Registered Early Childhood Educator for Pineway Childcare Learning Centre in Toronto on a 12-month contract. The successful candidate must hold an ECE diploma or equivalency, be in good standing with the CCE, and maintain current First Aid/CPR–AED Level C, a clear VSC, and immunization requirements.

Job description

Established multi-site Childcare Operator seeks a Second RECE f or a vacant position at our Pineway Childcare Learning Centre location.

Position: Contract - 12 months

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Early Childhood Education Diploma or Equivalency
• Registered and in Good Standing with The College of Early Childhood Education
• Current certification in Standard First Aid and CPR – AED Level C
• Current and Clear Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
• Complete Toronto Public Health Medical and Immunization requirements

Skills Required:

• Warm and Energetic individual who has the ability to work with Children of all ages, experience with Preschool age group is an asset.
• Must possess strong initiative and organizational skills and have a positive attitude
• Dependable and Flexible - arrives on time and ready to commence work as scheduled
• Communicate effectively and professionally with Children, Staff and Parents, ICsg Management, and any other Governing Agencies
• Must have general knowledge of Childcare Operations and an ability to comply with all the requirements from CCEYA/AQI/TPH/ICsg [incl. TDSB Policies and Procedures for sites located in TDSB]
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as in a team environment.
• Has the ability to implement an Early Childhood Program as per requirements set out by governing agencies
• Maintain Room control with positive Behaviour Management Strategies
• Ability to plan and implement a program

Assets:

• Working Knowledge of the Lillio Application (Parent Portal)
• Experience with laptop/tablet use to program and record Children’s profiles

Hours of work:

• 8 hours/day [40 hours/week]
• Centre Hours of Operation are 7:00am – 6:00pm
