Job summary

OSL Retail Services in Mississauga, Canada, is seeking a Learning Experience and Instructional Designer to design and develop engaging learning experiences and course content for Samsung’s National Field Sales and Training Team. A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in instructional design are expected.

Qualifications

• Three+ years’ proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology.
• Bachelor’s Degree in related fields such as education, organizational development, human resources, marketing, business administration, communications, etc. is an asset

Responsibilities

• Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention
• Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience’s training needs
• Identify instructional end goals and create content that matches them
• Design instructional user interface for LMS to provide a seamless learning experience and increase learner completion rates
• Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
• Apply tested instructional design theories, practice, and methods
• Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
• Use gamification and storytelling to enhance learner engagement
• Use course authoring tools to create dynamic and interactive learning
• Decide on the criteria used to judge learner’s performance and develop assessment instruments
• Maintain project documentation and course folders
• Acts as the design consultant for members of the learning and development team, to make sure all learning experiences conform to the proper design and learning concepts
