BrightPath Kids is hiring an Early Childhood Assistant in Newmarket, ON. You will work closely with teachers and families to provide a warm, home-like environment for children in our care.

The role involves assisting RECEs in classrooms, engaging children in activities, and maintaining a clean, organized learning space. This position is part-time with no evenings or weekends and runs through January 2027.

Competenze

• High School/Equivalent required.
• Early Childhood Assistant Certification preferred.
• Must meet Ontario childcare employment requirements.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR.
• Immunization and health assessment per local Health requirements.

Mansioni

• Assist RECEs with instruction in the classroom.
• Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment for children.
• Interact with children to encourage participation in activities.
• Collaborate with co-workers, management and families.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development.

What will you be doing?

As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting RECE’s with instruction in the classroom.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School/Equivalent required, Early Childhood Assistant Certification preferred
• Must meet province requirement for childcare employment
• Current Standard First Aid and infant child CPR
• Current immunization and health assessment as per the local Minister of Health Requirements
• Experience in planning and implementing programs.
