Job summary

Randstad Canada is actively sourcing an experienced Construction Project Manager for a contract role in Calgary, overseeing a portfolio of facility and infrastructure initiatives with on-site attendance as milestones require.

The hybrid engagement runs through March 31, 2027, with potential extension; you will lead planning, procurement, execution, commissioning and handover while tracking budgets and contingencies to optimize resources.

Qualifications

• Substantial proven experience steering construction, building infrastructure, and renovation projects concurrently through multiple phases of delivery.
• Deep knowledge of construction procurement, tendering processes, contract administration, commissioning, and regulatory building codes.
• Strong proficiency in developing detailed scopes of work and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications.
• Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and vendor-management capabilities, with ability to elevate emerging risks and budget pressures.
• A Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or relevant construction-focused professional education is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct assigned infrastructure initiatives through their entire lifecycle, from planning to handover.
• Oversee project budgets by tracking commitments, expenditures, forecasts, and contingencies to ensure efficient resource utilization.
• Facilitate collaboration among internal stakeholders and external partners, managing performance of consultants, general contractors, and equipment suppliers.
• Ensure all construction and renovation activities are sequenced to minimize disruptions in occupied facilities.
