Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Rutherford, ON is seeking an experienced Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to take a leadership role as a Centre Director contractor for Sep 2026–Sep 2027.

You will assist the Centre Director with staffing, licensing compliance, payroll and family communications, while ensuring program quality and regulatory standards. Montessori experience is a plus; strong team leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• RECE in good standing with the Ontario College of ECE
• Knowledge of licensing and regulations
• Meet province requirements for childcare employment
• CPR/First Aid certificate
• 2 years experience as an RECE; Montessori training is a major asset

Responsibilities

• Assist Centre Director with managing the overall operation of the centre including recruitment and development of staff, management of policies and procedures, child safety, environmental health/hygiene, and province licensing.
• Ensure staff understand objectives and expectations within each classroom.
• Manage administrative tasks such as payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and general communications.
• Understand and enforce province regulations within the building.
• Implement and ensure completion of staff training.
• Provide effective communication with families about their child.
• All other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

• Ensuring that all staff members understand the objectives and expectations within each classroom.
• Managing administrative tasks such as processing payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general communications.
• Understanding and enforcing all province regulations within the building.
• Implementing and ensuring completion of training for all staff members.
• Providing effective communication with families about their child.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• A Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE), must be a member in good standing with the Ontario College of ECE
• Demonstrated knowledge of licensing and regulations
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment
• Up to date immunization and Health Assessment as per the local Ministry of Health Requirements
• CPR/First Aid Certificate
