Contract Administrator

We are currently looking for a full-time Contract Administrator to join our growing team!

Our ideal hire would have an in-depth understanding of construction management procedures and experience in planning, scheduling, and assessing project-specific needs such as materials, licenses, permits, and equipment.

Junior and senior level candidates will be considered and if successful, will be assigned to projects that align with their skillset and level of experience. We are looking for a motivated self-starter, who works well within a team or independently.

As a Contract Administrator, you will be responsible for:
  1. Plan, schedule, organize, direct, control and evaluate construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget.
  2. Handle project administration, including cost control, schedule control and change order administration.
  3. Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress against established schedules.
  4. Negotiate and award subcontracts.
  5. Prepare cost and expenditure statements and forecasts at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
  6. Contract administer the projects, including preparation of contracts and purchase orders, tracking project costs, attending site meetings, ordering materials, client invoicing, dispute resolution, and other related project management tasks.
  7. During project construction, liaise, consult, and communicate with Site Supervisors for cost maintenance and future pricing; provide pricing and cost assistance for requested potential changes in scope.
  8. Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
  9. Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients.
  10. Generating Requests for Information (RFIs) to the Client/Engineer of Record on scope elements related to construction package. Lead the response and closure of associated RFIs.
Qualified candidates will possess:
  1. 2+ years of relevant experience in project management, project coordination, contract administration, or estimating is preferred.
  2. Familiarity in road construction and related infrastructure projects is preferred.
  3. A University Degree or College Diploma in Engineering or Construction Management or a combination of education and industry experience is preferred.
  4. Experience with Microsoft Project.
  5. Strong computer skills and an enthusiasm for innovation.
  6. Ability to adapt to changing market conditions.
  7. Effective communication skills.
  8. Excellent analytical and planning skills.
  9. Excellent time management skills.
  10. Effective problem-solving skills.
  11. Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  12. Ability to multitask and prioritize various tasks with conflicting deadlines.
