Recruitment By Design is assisting a downtown Toronto-based leading commercial architecture firm in seeking a Contract Administrator to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role focuses on construction administration, project documentation, and coordination with principals and architects to guide project teams.

Ideal candidates bring extensive experience in architecture, knowledge of building codes, and the ability to supervise project work while collaborating in a design-forward

Qualifications

• Revit and AutoCAD proficiency expected.
• Knowledge of local and provincial building codes essential.
• Architectural project experience preferred, including mixed-use and healthcare projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction administration functions for projects, including certificates of payments, COs/PCs, and contract documents.
• Organize, direct and manage contract administration for projects.
• Implement the project as directed by the project team.
• Supervise the work effort on assigned projects.
• Collaborate with design professionals and contribute ideas to project teams.

Our client, a leading commercial architecture firm located in downtown Toronto, is seeking a Contract Administrator to join their team. This is a permanent position, offering a salary commensurate with experience plus a competitive vacation and benefits package.

They are looking for someone who will contribute their outstanding skills to the planning, design and furnishing of a wide variety of projects. The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of architecture and a passion for design innovation and excellence. They will work closely with principals, associates and architects in a collaborative studio environment to contribute design ideas and provide direction to project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide construction administration functions to projects, including both office functions (certificates of payments, preparation of CO’s PC’s, CD’s etc.) and field functions (attendance at site meetings, preparation of site instructions, field review reports, etc.)
• Organize, direct and manage contract administration for projects
• Implement the project as directed by, or in consultation with the project team
• Supervise the work effort on assigned projects
• Work in a collaborative team environment, primarily in construction administration with involvement as required in other aspects of design including pre tender document review
• Report to the project architect on a regular basis outlining status of job cost control and scheduling issues including general progress and time management issues

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD an asset
• 10+ years’ experience required
• Mixed – use and healthcare project experience
• Knowledge of local and provincial building codes
