Job summary

Recruitment By Design is assisting a leading Toronto architecture firm seeking an energetic, experienced architect with 8+ years in a BIM environment. The role focuses on producing contract documents, detailing and envelope construction knowledge, and coordinating with engineers.

Strong communication and organizational skills are essential. Ideal candidates have a degree in architecture and proficiency with Revit, with a track record in institutional and residential projects.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated pursuit of excellence in design.
• Degree in architecture, architectural engineering or architectural technology.
• Advanced level of experience with Revit.
• Knowledge of high-performance building envelope construction.
• Experience preparing design and construction documents for institutional and residential projects. Contract Administration experience is considered an asset.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Architectural detailing and documentation on projects in collaboration with the project architects and team members
• Developing and coordinating construction documents, including alignment with codes, standards and specifications
• Close coordination with engineering consultants
• Prepare architectural models and drawings using Revit and other modeling software

They are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and technically focused individual with a minimum of 8 years architectural experience to join their Toronto office. The ideal candidate will have well-rounded architectural experience and a demonstrated passion for technical excellence in design. They will have a passion for producing outstanding contract documents in a BIM environment, extensive knowledge in building envelope construction, outstanding verbal and written communication skills, very good organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task in a busy office.

This position is paying a salary of between $90 – $125k, depending on experience. The firm offers lots of employee perks and room for growth.

Key Responsibilities
