Fuze HR Solutions is recruiting an Accounting Manager for an established Halton, Ontario organization. This hands-on leadership role combines accounting operations, financial reporting, and team management in a hybrid work setting.

The ideal candidate brings CPA status or in-progress CPA and at least two years supervising an accounting team, with strong GAAP knowledge and ERP proficiency to optimize processes.

Qualifications

• CPA designation or active CPA program.
• Minimum 2 years of direct supervisory experience in accounting/finance.
• Strong month-end close, financial reporting, journal entries, and reconciliations experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP and intercompany accounting.
• Manufacturing/industrial equipment/distribution experience valued.
• Strong Excel and ERP systems proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly and year-end close, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements for accuracy and GAAP compliance.
• Manage intercompany transactions, FX, cash reconciliations, and related accounting.
• Oversee inventory, equipment, and other operational accounting activities.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and variance reporting.
• Supervise and coach accounting staff to meet deadlines.
• Maintain internal controls and support audits, tax reporting, and year-end requirements.
• Partner with finance and operations to improve reporting processes.

About the Role

As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee key accounting activities, support financial reporting, and help ensure accurate and timely financial information. This position combines hands-on accounting with team leadership, financial analysis, and opportunities to improve processes.

Key Responsibilities

About You

What You’ll Bring

• CPA designation or active enrollment in the CPA program - required.
• Minimum 2 years of direct supervisory experience within an accounting or finance team - mandatory.
• Strong month-end close, financial reporting, journal entry, and reconciliation experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP and experience with intercompany accounting.
• Manufacturing, industrial equipment, distribution, or similar industry experience is highly valued.
• Strong Excel and accounting systems/ERP skills.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
