Job summary

Altis in Mississauga is seeking an Accounting Manager to join our finance team. This permanent role oversees day-to-day accounting operations, with ownership of accounts payable/receivable, cash flow reporting, and month-end close.

You will work across Canada and the US, ensure compliance with US GAAP, and contribute to budgeting and year-end audits, in a family-oriented, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in an Accounting Manager capacity.
• Experience in manufacturing, including exposure to cost accounting, is a strong asset.
• Familiarity with multi-entity accounting, US sales tax, and cross-border operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA designation is an asset.
• Strong ERP proficiency and advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• A collaborative, hands-on approach and an interest in building a long-term career with an established organization.

Responsibilities

• You'll manage cash flow reporting, bank reconciliations, and financial forecasting.
• You'll coordinate month-end close activities, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• You'll support annual budgeting, year-end audits, and compliance with US GAAP.
• You'll manage US sales tax filings and support financial activities across multiple entities.
• You'll identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, strengthen controls, and resolve ERP-related issues.
