Job summary

Fuze HR Solutions is seeking an Accounting Manager in Halton, Ontario, offering a salary of $110,000 to $120,000 plus bonus, with a hybrid schedule (3 days in office). The role blends hands-on accounting with team leadership, financial analysis, and process improvements to support accurate reporting and compliance.

You will lead close cycles, oversee intercompany and inventory accounting, and coach staff while partnering with operations to optimize reporting.

Qualifications

• CPA designation or active enrollment in the CPA program is required.
• Minimum 2 years of direct supervisory experience within an accounting team.
• Strong month-end close, financial reporting, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Knowledge of GAAP and intercompany accounting.
• Manufacturing/industrial equipment distribution experience is valued.
• Proficient in Excel and accounting systems/ERP.

About the Role

As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee key accounting activities, support financial reporting, and help ensure accurate and timely financial information. This position combines hands-on accounting with team leadership, financial analysis, and opportunities to improve processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead monthly and year-end close, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements for accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Manage intercompany transactions, foreign exchange, cash reconciliations, and related accounting.
• Oversee inventory, equipment, and other operational accounting activities.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and variance reporting.
• Supervise, coach, and support accounting staff while meeting deadlines.
• Maintain internal controls and support external audits, tax reporting, and year-end requirements.
• Partner with finance and operations to resolve issues and improve reporting processes.

About You

We are looking for a confident, hands-on accounting professional with strong technical skills, leadership experience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

What You’ll Bring

• CPA designation or active enrollment in the CPA program — required.
• Minimum 2 years of direct supervisory experience within an accounting or finance team — mandatory.
• Strong month-end close, financial reporting, journal entry, and reconciliation experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP and experience with intercompany accounting.
• Manufacturing, industrial equipment, distribution, or similar industry experience is highly valued.
• Strong Excel and accounting systems/ERP skills.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
