BEA Americas delivers sensors, solutions, and accessories for activation and safety across various market segments, including pedestrian and industrial automatic doors, vehicle gates and barriers, transportation, security, and retail sensing applications. This Continuous Improvement Manager will lead the team in developing strategies to enhance quality and efficiency by leveraging best practices. The role involves using ERP systems to maintain accurate data. The ideal candidate is an Team Player supporting our mission to build a convenient, safe, automated world, and aims for growth and market expansion.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements in manufacturing and supply chain operations:
- Optimize process flow, reduce lead times, and enhance inventory control & demand modeling.
- Ensure process enhancements meet quality standards and regulatory requirements, collaborating with the quality team.
- Partner with industrial engineering to develop automated solutions for production and packaging.
- Develop preventative maintenance schedules to increase machine uptime and reliability.
- Drive efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs.
- 5S Implementation:
- Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, Sustain—organize workspaces with labels, colors, and proper storage.
- Reporting & Analytics:
- Develop and monitor KPIs, providing visibility on the floor.
- Prepare analyses to identify business gaps, support strategic growth, and benchmark performance.
- Update leadership on CI initiatives' progress and impact.
- Conduct time studies and verify accuracy of bills of material, work instructions, and routings.
- Strategic Project Execution:
- Utilize project management tools (Gantt charts, milestones, SPAs).
- Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
- Lead annual hoshin planning.
- Demonstrate leadership and team facilitation to achieve improvement goals.
- Implement ERP upgrades effectively.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Expert proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to delegate tasks effectively.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills and self-directed work style.
- Over 3 years of experience in operations or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
