Job summary

Decibel is seeking a Continuous Improvement Analyst to support operations by providing insights through data analysis and reporting, helping drive strategic and operational decisions. The role emphasizes evaluating production task rates, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and developing tools that connect data across platforms using Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of relevant operational analysis experience.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced skills in Excel and analytical techniques (tested during selection).
• Microsoft Power BI and Power Automate skills.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Sage X3 (asset).
• Cannabis industry or other consumer packaged good experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, and maintain production financial reporting tools.
• Evaluate improvement projects to determine ROI.
• Review and assess production task rates to validate product-level feasibility.
• Collaborate with Production Managers to improve operational efficiency.
• Develop and maintain Power BI tools and connect them with other data sources to identify trends and opportunities.
• Execute efficiency and cost-reduction projects.
• Create and implement SOPs for process analysis and root cause analysis.
• Provide training to the operations team on new tools and process changes.
• Manage progress and performance through the Gemba Academy platform.
• Keep Production Management informed of day-to-day deviations and insights.
• Prepare and present reports to the Site Leadership team.

Role Summary

Decibel is seeking a Continuous Improvement Analyst to supports our operations by providing insights through data analysis and reporting, helping drive strategic and operational decisions.

The Continuous Improvement Analyst will provide analysis for project proposals, validate production task rates, and identify cost‑saving opportunities. This includes working cross‑functionally to develop tools and reports that connect data across platforms, enabling smarter decisions and increased operational efficiency. Advanced MS Power BI skills are required.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, and maintain production financial reporting tools
• Evaluate improvement projects to determine return on investment (ROI)
• Review and assess production task rates to validate product‑level feasibility
• Collaborate with Production Managers to improve operational efficiency
• Develop and maintain Jotform and Power BI tools and connect them with other data sources (e.g., inventory, quality, performance) to identify trends, correlations, and opportunities
• Execute efficiency and cost‑reduction projects
• Create and implement standard operating procedures for process analysis and root cause analysis of recurring issues
• Provide training to the operations team on new tools and process changes
• Manage the progress and performance of leaders through the Gemba Academy platform
• Keep Production Management informed of day‑to‑day operational deviations and performance insights
• Prepare and present reports to the Site Leadership team
• Perform other duties as assigned by your manager
