Job summary

Decibel Cannabis Company, a Calgary-based cannabis innovator, is seeking a Director, Portfolio Management to own pricing models, portfolio lifecycle, and competitive monitoring. This highly analytical role drives sustainable, profitable growth across brands and channels.

You will partner with Sales Operations and Commercial Planning to align pricing with forecasts, analyze SKU performance, identify white space, and communicate recommendations to non-financial audiences.

Qualifications

  • 2 to 4 years in pricing, revenue management, or analytics.
  • Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
  • Experience with pricing elasticity or promotional analytics is an asset.

Key responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain pricing models across brands, formats, and provinces.
  • Track SKU performance against lifecycle stage, including launch, growth, maturity, and decline, and recommend rationalization or reinvestment.
  • Analyze category segments and portfolio gaps to identify white space for new formats or price points, feeding the innovation pipeline.
  • Run recurring, monthly at minimum, competitive price and format trend tracking to surface shifts early.
  • Report on innovation pilot performance against target.
  • Partner with the Sales Operations Analyst and Director, Commercial Planning to keep pricing actions aligned with volume forecasts and targets.
  • Spots pricing and portfolio trends early rather than reactively.
  • Builds pricing models that hold up under scrutiny.
  • Balances analytical rigor with commercial pragmatism.
  • Communicates pricing recommendations clearly to non-financial audiences.
  • Takes ownership of portfolio lifecycle tracking and reporting accuracy.
Qualifications:
  • 2 to 4 years in pricing, revenue management, or commercial and financial analytics.
  • Strong Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Experience with pricing elasticity or promotional analytics is an asset.
