Job summary

MacLeod Cares Victoria Haven Nursing Home in Glace Bay, NS, is hiring a Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) to provide hands-on, person-centered care to our Residents.

We offer mentorship, training, and opportunities for professional growth in a supportive team dedicated to comfort, dignity and well-being.

Applicants must have valid CCA Certification with Medication Administration Certificate in Nova Scotia, strong teamwork and communication, and a clear vulnerable sector and criminal record check.

Qualifications

• Valid CCA Certification with Medication Administration Certificate in Nova Scotia (or equivalent).
• Compassionate and positive personality.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Clear vulnerable sector and criminal record check.
• Those enrolled in LPN, paramedic, or related health programs who have completed pharmacology are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on, person-centered care to Residents.
• Support comfort, dignity, and well-being of Residents on a daily basis.
• Collaborate with care team and mentors to ensure safety and quality care.
