Job summary

Coast in Nova Scotia invites caregivers to join our inclusive team, offering PT and FT roles with 12-hour shifts and day or night options. We partner with retirement homes and long-term care facilities across Nova Scotia, and welcome RN, LPN and CCA students.

This position emphasizes compassionate care, confidentiality, and a clean, infection-controlled environment. Applicants must have a clear criminal record, current First-Aid/CPR, and registration with the CCA Registry, plus reliable English

Qualifications

• Clear Criminal Record check and vulnerable sectors check within last 6 months.
• Current Standard First-Aid and CPR certification.
• Successful completion or enrollment in a CCA/PSW program.
• Registered with the CCA Registry.
• Effective communication in English.
• Physically fit and able to perform duties.
• Reliable and punctual with good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene, oral care, skin care, toileting, bathing, feeding, dressing and grooming.
• Maintain confidentiality concerning residents, staff and organizational information.
• Work within the NSAHO Scope of Practice.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to facility infection control policies.

Note: Also open to RN, LPN and CCA students

Schedule: PT, FT positions available

• 12 hour shifts
• Total Day and Total Night
