Shannex Incorporated in Moncton, NB invites compassionate PSWs to join Faubourg Du Mascaret – Pavillion Richard on a temporary basis. The role supports residents with daily living, hygiene, and mobility while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Valid PSW/Caregiver credentials or diploma.
• Shift flexibility including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening on hire.
• CPR & First Aid (or BLS) certification required.
• English fluency; French an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with hygiene and daily living activities.
• Collaborate on individualized Resident Care Plans.
• Support residents' leisure activities daily.
• Assist with light housekeeping duties.
• Perform delegated nursing acts per policy and scope.
• Report care or safety information to supervisor.

We are searching for a Temporary Full-Time (1 FTE) and Temporary Part-Time (0.8 FTE) Continuing Care Assistant (PSW) to join our Faubourg Du Mascaret - Pavillion Richard team based in Moncton, N ew Brunswick.

About The Opportunity

• Assists residents with hygiene and daily living activities, such as: bathing, dressing, oral care, skin care, meals, and mobilizing according to the work assignment;
• Collaborates with the resident and other members of the interdisciplinary team in the development of individualized Resident Care Plan;
• Assists in the planning and implementation of resident leisure activities on a daily basis;
• Assists with light housekeeping duties;
• Performs delegated nursing acts according to company policy and scope of practice;
• Communicates and reports relevant information regarding resident care or safety to Supervisor

About You

In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:

• A valid Personal Support Worker Acute Care diploma or Provincial Personal Care Worker course or equivalent;
• Ability to work a schedule of flexible hours and shifts inclusive of days, nights, weekends, and holidays;
• Ability to provide a clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening upon hire;
• Valid CPR & First Aid Certification or BLS (required);
• Advanced proficiency in the English language is required, proficiency in French considered an asset;
• Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care course considered an asset;
• Previous working experience with elderly in long-term care or a senior living environment an asset;
• A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services and care
