Job summary

MNP in Canada is seeking a Consultant to lead Indigenous Consulting Services engagements, delivering strategic analysis, guidance and action plans for clients in private, public, not-for-profit and Indigenous sectors.

You will develop project plans, supervise teams, conduct interviews and surveys, produce high-quality reports, and contribute to proposals, with occasional travel.

The role requires experience with Indigenous communities, strong communication and solid project management skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 to 5 years of consulting experience in a client-service environment.
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities and organizations is an asset.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Indigenous studies, business, economics, political science, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Propose, plan and deliver consulting engagements focused on strategy and planning services.
  • Develop project plans and coordinate logistics with clients and stakeholders.
  • Conduct detailed research, interviews, focus groups and surveys.
  • Lead engagement teams and mentor junior members.
  • Support business development and competitive proposals.

Responsibilities
  • Propose, plan and deliver consulting engagements with a focus on strategy and planning services in the private, public, not-for-profit and Indigenous sectors
  • Support business planning, feasibility studies, strategic planning, operational planning, program review, program re-deigns, financial analysis and other forms of management consulting
  • Develop project plans and coordinate project logistics with clients and other stakeholders
  • Conduct detailed research and data collection, interviews, focus groups and surveys
  • Perform in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis and consolidate results to provide meaningful conclusions and recommendations
  • Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to clients; ensure needs are met and relationships grow and develop
  • Review, design and develop high-quality deliverables including reports, presentations and other correspondence
  • Lead engagement teams, developing effective relationships with clients while coaching and mentoring junior team members
  • Participate in business development initiatives and contribute to the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals
  • Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary
Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 4 to 5 years of consulting experience, ideally in a client-service environment
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities and organizations an asset
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Indigenous studies, business, economics, political science, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • CMC, PMP or other related certifications are considered an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
