Job summary

MNP is seeking a Consultant to join Indigenous Consulting Services, delivering analysis, strategic guidance, and action planning for Indigenous communities across Canada. You will translate complexity into clarity, design engagements, and build actionable recommendations with rigorous research and stakeholder engagement.

You will lead project teams, collaborate with clients in private, public, not-for-profit sectors, and support business development. Travel across Canada is required as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Indigenous studies, business, economics, political science, or equivalent.
  • CMC, PMP or related certifications are assets.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Propose, plan and deliver engagements focused on strategy and planning across sectors (private, public, not-for-profit, Indigenous).
  • Develop project plans and coordinate logistics with clients and stakeholders.
  • Lead engagement teams and mentor junior team members.
  • Participate in business development and competitive proposals.
  • Travel as necessary.

You’ll provide comprehensive analysis, strategic guidance and action planning that turns complexity into clarity and support our clients in achieving their visions. This opportunity is available in the following locations across Canada: Toronto, London, Waterloo, Thunder Bay, Timmins, and Ottawa.

Responsibilities
  • Propose, plan and deliver consulting engagements with a focus on strategy and planning services in the private, public, not-for-profit and Indigenous sectors
  • Support business planning, feasibility studies, strategic planning, operational planning, program review, program re-deigns, financial analysis and other forms of management consulting
  • Develop project plans and coordinate project logistics with clients and other stakeholders
  • Conduct detailed research and data collection, interviews, focus groups and surveys
  • Perform in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis and consolidate results to provide meaningful conclusions and recommendations
  • Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to clients; ensure needs are met and relationships grow and develop
  • Review, design and develop high-quality deliverables including reports, presentations and other correspondence
  • Lead engagement teams, developing effective relationships with clients while coaching and mentoring junior team members
  • Participate in business development initiatives and contribute to the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals
  • Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary
Skills And Experience
  • Minimum 4 to 5 years of consulting experience, ideally in a client-service environment
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities and organizations an asset
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Indigenous studies, business, economics, political science, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • CMC, PMP or other related certifications are considered an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

The annual salary for this opportunity is $60,000/yr - $90,000/yr. Compensation is based on individual skills, relevant experience, certifications and location.
