Job summary

MNP seeks a Consultant in Indigenous Consulting Services to support engagements across Canada, turning complexity into clarity through analysis, strategy and action planning. You will work with Indigenous communities and partners, contributing to planning, research and deliverables.

You will lead projects, coach junior staff, contribute to proposals and travel as needed to client sites. This role emphasizes collaboration, impact and continuous learning within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 to 5 years of consulting experience in a client-service environment.
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities and organizations is an asset.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Indigenous studies, business, economics, political science, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • CMC, PMP or related certifications are assets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Propose, plan and deliver consulting engagements with focus on strategy and planning services.
  • Support business planning, feasibility studies, strategic planning and program review.
  • Develop project plans and coordinate project logistics with clients and stakeholders.
  • Conduct research, interviews, focus groups and surveys.

This opportunity is available in the following locations across Canada: Toronto, London, Waterloo, Thunder Bay, Timmins, and Ottawa.

Responsibilities
  • Propose, plan and deliver consulting engagements with a focus on strategy and planning services in the private, public, not-for-profit and Indigenous sectors
  • Support business planning, feasibility studies, strategic planning, operational planning, program review, program re-deigns, financial analysis and other forms of management consulting
  • Develop project plans and coordinate project logistics with clients and other stakeholders
  • Conduct detailed research and data collection, interviews, focus groups and surveys
  • Perform in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis and consolidate results to provide meaningful conclusions and recommendations
  • Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to clients; ensure needs are met and relationships grow and develop
  • Review, design and develop high-quality deliverables including reports, presentations and other correspondence
  • Lead engagement teams, developing effective relationships with clients while coaching and mentoring junior team members
  • Participate in business development initiatives and contribute to the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals
  • Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary
Skills And Experience
  • Minimum 4 to 5 years of consulting experience, ideally in a client-service environment
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities and organizations an asset
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Indigenous studies, business, economics, political science, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • CMC, PMP or other related certifications are considered an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

The annual salary for this opportunity is $60,000/yr - $90,000/yr. Compensation is based on individual skills, relevant experience, certifications and location.
