CIBC is seeking a Consultant Business Systems Analyst to support the Enterprise Anti Money Laundering program within Capital Markets Technology. You will act as the liaison for requirements and participate in all project phases in a hybrid on-site/remote setting.

What you'll be doing

You'll be joining the Capital Markets Technology group in their Anti Money Laundering / Transaction Monitoring team. As a Consultant Business Systems Analysis, you will support in executing business analysis activities for the Enterprise Anti Money Laundering program within a matrix organization in order to advance assigned business initiatives and to ensure project success. You will act as a liaison between project stakeholders and the rest of the team by serving as the single point of contact for requirements. You will actively participate in all phases of the project life cycle

How you'll succeed

Understanding and documenting requirements - Work closely with business partners to gather complicated business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure you meet project needs.

Create strong relationships, lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements.

Solution design - Assemble client-focused solutions that meet business requirements. Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance.

Leading and mentoring – Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert, and provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals.

Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.

Who you are

You can demonstrate atleast 4+ years experience in requirements gathering, documentation and data analysis in an agile environment. At least 3+ years of experience in SQL and Jira / Confluence / Azure DevOps.

Must have a background in Capital Markets. Experience in KYC, AML and regulations / experience in Banking is an asset.

Providing technical expertise for service delivery and operations for the project management office tools and systems. The role works on complex issues involving one or more technical areas, mentoring employees and performing tasks of advanced technical depth and breadth.

You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Business, and/or a related field.
