The Field Supervisor (FS) is responsible for supervising the field operations teams (GDI and subcontractors). This includes reviewing project schedules, training new installers and subcontractors, monitoring work progress, expenses, field measures, permits, assisting crews with start/finish jobs, completing service calls, and meeting with customers to review complex jobs.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain branch quality standards
2. Measure jobs
3. Check jobs for potential installation problems prior to start
4. Review concerns with Installation Supervisor and Regional Operations Manager
5. Review contracts with customers
6. Diagnose and/or perform service work
7. Install jobs as needed
8. Employee and subcontractor training
9. Ensure crews know job details and have loaded proper materials and equipment
10. Oversee performance of Lead Installers and Apprentices, training them on proper procedures
11. Obtain building permits as required
12. Review schedule with Installation Supervisor
13. Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

Applicant must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in construction field operations, focusing on sunrooms, doors, and windows. Must understand all product lines and diagnose and correct service problems. Good problem-solving skills are required. Must be proficient with technology, well-organized, and able to think on your feet. Must be proactive in managing customer, employee, and subcontractor interactions, aligning with company expectations, and delivering mutually beneficial solutions.

1. Revenue projections of branch
2. 90-day branch quality
3. Project timelines as per GDI budgeting
4. Customer service surveys with a top score of 90% or better
5. Training milestones: a. Apprentice to Installer in 3 months, b. Installer to Lead Installer in 9 months, c. Subcontractor for installation in 3 months
6. Online reviews: 30% of installed jobs
