Job summary

Foxridge Homes BC is seeking a Construction Safety Officer to oversee safety for single-family homes and non-strata rowhomes in Surrey. You will monitor and enforce the company Safety Program across sites and promote a safe, healthful workplace culture.

Ideal candidates hold a High School Diploma, CSO/NCSO, Standard First Aid, 3+ years of construction experience, a valid driver’s license, and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• CSO or NCSO certification.
• Standard First Aid certification.
• Minimum 3 years of construction experience.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
• Criminal record check satisfactory.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site safety inspections and document findings.
• Rectify unsafe conditions and mitigate risks.
• Lead safety orientations for new employees and enforce policies.
• Maintain documentation of Joint Safety & Health committee meetings.
• Administer first aid as required.
• Assist in COR audits.
• Investigate incidents and recommend program improvements.
