Job summary

Onni Contracting is seeking a Health and Safety Leader to drive a culture of safety on our Port Coquitlam high-rise project. You will conduct on-site safety inspections, provide first aid as needed, and support site teams with risk assessments and training.

With 2+ years in construction safety and OFA2/OFA3 certification, you will organize areas, manage reporting, and ensure compliance across daily operations. This role emphasizes hands-on leadership and practical safety improvements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience on construction sites.
• Current OFA2 or OFA3 Certification.
• Valid Fall Protection Certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical capability to work onsite.

Responsibilities

• Open and close a site.
• Perform manual labour (cleanup, sweeping, packing materials).
• Organize work areas.
• General construction maintenance.
• Daily safety site inspections.
• Weekly/monthly reporting.
• Provide site safety orientations for visitors.
• Attend injuries on-site and provide appropriate treatment.
• Report injuries, near misses or hazards.
• Inventory control of first aid supplies.

Onni Contracting is looking for an individual who will provide health and safety leadership and promote a culture of health and safety commitment to our site. We are looking for an ambitious, organized, individual with an above-standard attention to detail to see perfectly executed finishes.

This position will be responsible for working on construction project sites, assisting the Superintendent with labour work and fulfilling First Aid and Safety requirements for a high-rise development project for the upcoming project in Port Coquitlam, Freemont.

What you will do

• Opening and closing a site
