Your Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Quality Coordinator to join the team in our Burnaby, BC office. The successful candidate must be available to work at a site office 5 days per week, located in North Vancouver.
Your Key Responsibilities
Review quality specifications, technical design documents, subtrade Method Statements and Inspection Test Plans
Conduct and document inspections of Subcontractors’ work to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain detailed records of quality control activities, including inspection reports, test reports and non-conformance reports.
Coordinate and participate in internal and external site audits.
Serve as a point of contact for quality-related inquiries from project team, subcontractors, and consultants.
Identify opportunities for process improvement in quality and implement best practices.
Lead reviews of Suppliers Quality documents such as ITPs, procedures and monitor establishment prior to commencement of the work.
Regularly participate in inspections activities to verify continuous compliance to reviewed quality documents.
Ensure quality records are complete and properly maintained.
Review and provide comments for factory acceptance test (FAT) procedure and accept certified test report (CTR) reports.
Support Construction Quality Manager to establish, report & adjust Quality KPIs.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Minimum 5 years of site-based experience related to concrete placement
Strong understanding of quality assurance and quality control principles, construction industry standards, and regulatory requirements
Capable of identifying issues, deviations, or non-conformances and conducting basic analysis to support root cause identification and corrective actions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
Familiar with CSA standards as applicable to concrete placement
Education and Credentials
Technologist Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
Quality-related certifications (ISO 9001, CQI) preferred.

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
