Job summary

York is seeking a Project Manager to lead multiple construction projects from inception to completion, overseeing design, permitting, procurement, and construction phases. They will manage project scope, contracts with subcontractors, control project schedules, and ensure quality assurance and control processes are followed.

Responsibilities include budget management, processing invoices, and regular reporting to the executive team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a project manager.
• Professional Engineering or Technology designation is an asset.
• Experience on Design-Build projects in light industrial and commercial sectors.
• Solid understanding of building systems, materials, and building codes.
• Proven track record of managing construction schedules.
• Strong leadership to direct, motivate and inspire a team.
• Knowledge of estimating, budgeting, cost control and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of multiple, simultaneous construction projects from design through close-out.
• Manage contracts with subcontractors, including tenders, RFIs and change orders.
• Own project schedule; identify critical path and opportunities to condense schedules.
• Ensure QA/QC processes are followed with testing agencies and consultants.
• Schedule and attend site and virtual meetings regularly.
• Manage budget; monitor performance with budget KPIs and report to executives.
• Provide leadership and technical guidance to team members; develop PM tools and processes.
• Continuously improve company processes and the quality of the finished product.
