Job summary

RWC in Surrey, BC, is seeking a Project Coordinator to support construction projects from planning to delivery. You will manage material coordination, liaise with GC and BIM teams, review drawings, prepare estimates, and ensure schedules align with production.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of hands-on project coordination, an engineering or construction management degree, and experience with AutoCAD, Plexxis, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ hands-on experience in the capacity of project coordinator.
• Undergraduate degree in engineering or construction management.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Plexxis and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritize work to achieve them.
• Knowledge of Provincial Building Codes and Building Envelope.

Responsibilities

• Provide material and specialty product alternatives and options during project life cycle.
• Coordinate material deliveries with site requirements and restrictions.
• Collaborate with GC on upselling and repricing change requests.
• Liaise between GC and BIM model team to ensure accuracy.
• Preconstruction submittals and LEED requirements such as product data and samples.
• Analyze blueprints and specifications to extract scope of work.
• Prepare estimates and calculate material take-offs.
• Coordinate with offices and fabrication teams to maintain schedules.
• Support shop drawing approvals for production.
• Assist with bid proposals and project scheduling.
• Coordinate purchase orders and supplier relations.
• Maintain project records and report progress for invoicing.
