Job summary

MS DRYWALL LIMITED in Calgary, Alberta seeks an experienced Purchasing Coordinator to manage procurement across construction projects. You will assign projects to purchasing and warehouse teams, coordinate supplier activities, and oversee budgets and contracts.

With 1–2 years of related experience and a Bachelor's degree, you will develop purchasing policies, supervise a small team, and advise senior management on cost quality and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1–2 years of experience in purchasing/procurement.
• On-site role in construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Assign projects and programs to purchasing and warehouse departments.
• Coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying, selling and distributing materials, equipment, machinery and supplies.
• Plan and control budget and expenditures.
• Hire, train, direct and motivate staff.
• Plan, develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures.
• Oversee the evaluation of the cost and quality of goods or services.
• Authorize the development of specifications for products or services.
• Manage contracts.
• Review and process claims against suppliers.
• Advise senior management.
• Organize and maintain inventory.
