Job summary

EllisDon Corporation in Edmonton, AB is seeking a Construction Manager - Formwork to lead design, construction and warranty handover, ensuring projects meet design, budget and schedule objectives. You will direct planning, scheduling and engineering, develop pre-construction and baseline schedules, coordinate activities, maintain safety and environmental programs, and mentor project teams.

Travel outside Edmonton is required.

Qualifications

• 15 - 20 years supervisory or equivalent experience in ICI Construction and/or Formwork Construction.
• Engineering or Construction related degree/diploma, or an equivalent work experience.
• Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods); company policies, procedures and standards, union jurisdiction, labor agreements and negotiations essential.
• Excellent communication, organizational, supervisory and planning skills.
• Experienced in managing and developing a team.
• Willingness to travel as needed outside of Edmonton
• Must have, or be eligible for, CSID (PWSGC) Secret Level Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design, construction, and warranty handover of projects to ensure projects are completed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule objectives
• Provide direction to planning, scheduling, and engineering functions as required
• Develop and maintain pre-construction schedules, baseline construction schedules, procurement schedules, commissioning and PDI schedules
• Plan, coordinate and/or supervise activities of all company personnel on assigned project(s)
• Ensure project safety standards, company, client policies and environmental programs are adhered to
• Lead and develop area initiatives and best practices that align with the business goals
• Willingness to travel outside of Edmonton as needed
