Job summary

EllisDon Corporation in Canada is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for Cold Lake, AB to support plan and specification analysis and ensure coordinated interpretations of design drawings for construction. You will prepare RFIs, submittals, and manage subcontracts to keep the project on schedule and within budget.

You will work with the Construction Manager to identify issues, track deliverables, and maintain schedules, with experience in self-performed work and scheduling software considered

Qualifications

• Requires construction-related degree and 3+ years of construction experience.
• Experience with plan/spec analysis and interpreting design drawings for construction is required.
• Experience with concrete & formwork scopes is an asset.
• Ability to support the project team and resolve issues with scheduling/software is preferred.

You as an Assistant Project Manager will:

• Assist in plan and specification analysis in order to provide clear, trackable and coordinated interpretations of the design/drawings for construction
• Preparation of project deliverables including tracking and creating of RFIs, transmitting and tracking of submittals, composing agreements and maintaining project expediting list
• Develop, implement and monitor the construction schedule to deliver the project on time and under budget
• Administration and management of subcontracts including subcontractor compliance, tracking of changes and deliverables
• Advise Construction Manager of potential problems, work interferences and schedule difficulties and assist in resolving issues

Is this the right role for you?

You have a construction related degree and a minimum of three years of construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience Experience with concrete & formwork scopes, especially on buildings projects, is an asset Experience with self-performed work with a General Contractor is an asset Working knowledge of scheduling, project management and contract software Ability to support the project team and help overcome problematic situations

Must have, or be eligible for, CSID (PWSGC) Secret Level Security Clearance
