Job summary

EllisDon is seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Project Manager for an Ottawa project. The role requires steering ME scopes, schedules, budgeting, and client liaison across pre-construction to post-construction phases.

Qualifications

• Eight to ten years of Mechanical and Electrical construction experience.
• Experience managing projects from start to finish, including scope, tendering, and closeout.
• Strong understanding of maintenance and lifecycle budgeting and compliance requirements.
• Able to lead meetings with stakeholders and coordinate across trades.

Responsibilities

• Plan ME scopes and prepare a construction schedule with the Project Superintendent.
• Prepare regular billings for mechanical and electrical components to secure timely payments.
• Monitor material and labour costs for ME components and ensure quality reporting.
• Review consultant changes and subcontractor prices for completeness and accuracy.
• Provide expert advice and maintain records of site infrastructure, plant and equipment.
• Plan the ME and IT components of construction projects and lead progress meetings.
• Lead project meetings, assess status of scheduling and costs, and solve complex issues.
• Provide liaison for the end client on all operational service aspects.
• Coordinate commissioning of building systems, including testing and training.
