Job summary

EllisDon Corporation in Moncton, NB is seeking a Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) Coordinator to support site safety programs, conduct orientations, site inspections, and review and file subcontractor safety submittals; lead accident investigations when necessary.

You will organize training such as WHMIS, Working At Heights, CPR/First Aid, coordinate safety audits, and compile safety statistics for the project in a layout that follows OHSA guidelines.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of safety construction experience.
• Practical knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act/Regulations.
• Working toward or holding an NCSO certificate.
• College degree or certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Experience with COR Certification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for site specific safety including orientations, inspections, submittals, and investigations.
• Identify hazards and direct rectification measures on site.
• Organize training programs such as WHMIS, Working At Heights, and CPR/First Aid.
• Coordinate weekly safety audit summaries and compile HS&E statistics.
• Ensure compliance with OHSA and support Joint Health & Safety Committees.
